The compact body dimensions and the muscular lines emphasize the sporty appearance of the new CLC. The Mercedes designers have completely redesigned the front and rear so that the Sports Coupe embodies the contemporary Mercedes design idiom with its distinctive coupe radiator grille featuring a large Mercedes star in the centre, and the new projection-beam headlamps. The S-Class, the luxury CL-Class Coupe and the C-Class provided the artistic models. The redesigned large tailgate conceals a variable boot with up to 1100 liters of luggage capacity. The new tail lights, the long row of LEDs which make up the third brake light unit and the rear bumper subdivide the rear and emphasize its width. The standard specification for the sports package includes a new direct-steer system, which further enhances the agile driving experience of the CLC while adding an important boost to safety. This new feature is based on the speed-sensitive power steering and also offers a variable rack ratio which changes as a function of the steering angle so that the driver only has to turn the wheel slightly when cornering; the Sports Coupe therefore responds far more spontaneously to steering commands and offers even sportier handling.

As a result, the direct-steer system also improves handling safety in critical situations – for instance when taking sudden evasive action – as the field tests conducted by the Mercedes engineers demonstrate. The six-speed manual transmission comes as standard with all engine variants. Mercedes-Benz can also supply a five-speed automatic transmission for the four?cylinder units, and the 7G-TRONIC seven-speed automatic transmission for the V6 models. In combination with the sports package, the driver can use gearshift paddles on the steering wheel to select the gears of the automatic transmission manually and make optimum use of the engines’ high power reserves when the driving situation calls for it. Mercedes-Benz offers four four-cylinder and two six-cylinder engines with power outputs ranging from 90 kW/122 hp to 200 kW/272 hp for the new CLC. The 135 kW/184 hp power plant in the CLC 200 KOMPRESSOR now develops an extra 15 kW/20 hp while consuming just 7.8 to 8.2 liters per 100 kilometers in the NEDC cycle – the equivalent of up to 0.7 liters less than before. In consumption terms, with its advanced turbo diesel engines, the CLC falls into the five-liter category: the CLC 200 CDI returns a consumption of 5.8 to 6.1 liters per 100 kilometers in the NEDC cycle, up to 10.8 percent less than the outgoing model. The CDI models boast operating ranges of over 1000 kilometers with a full tank (62 liters). High-quality equipment and appointments, and enhanced technology, the new Mercedes-Benz CLC offers even more conquest potential than its predecessor, Thanks to all designers.

The public will get the chance to take a close look at the Sports Coupe for the first time at the European Mercedes sales and service outlets and authorized dealerships in June 2008.

The new Mercedes Benz is a new sports car that unveiled 28th January 2008. Mercedes Benz has released a teaser visual of the new Mercedes-Benz CLC-Class coupe that shows quite clearly the front design of the car. The baseline model is the Mercedes-Benz CLC200K, putting out 184 horsepower from its supercharged 1.8 liter. When Mercedes-Benz first registered the CLC trademark back in May 2006, some speculated it could be a convertible version of the Mercedes-Benz CL-Class. Now it is clear that the CLC is more like a C-Class coupe instead. DaimlerChrysler filed for the CLC-class trademark in the USA back in May 2006 and recently this month it has been published for opposition. The CLC-class trademark was registered for both class 012 – Automobiles and their structural parts and class 028 – Toy model vehicles. Mercedes-Benz has officially revealed the new Mercedes Benz CL-class luxury coupe.

The CL-class is a two-door coupe based on the Mercedes Benz S-class, and you know the world is starting to get ridiculous when I have to specifically say a coupe is two-door in order not to confuse it with “four-door coupes” like the Mercedes Benz CLS. The Mercedes Benz CL-class is essentially the Mercedes Benz S-class’ technical twin, being based on the same platform and even sharing similar design cues. The Mercedes Benz CL-class is Mercedes Benz’s largest coupe, and it comes with two engines. The CL500 comes with a normally aspirated 5.5 liter V8 making 388hp at 6,000rpm and 530Nm of torque between 2,800-4,800rpm. This is mated to a Mercedes Benz 7G-Tronic transmission, which features 7 forward gears (two of them are overdrive) and a one reverse gear. For the CL500, 0-100km/h takes 5.4 seconds and its’ top speed is 250km/h.

The top of the range CL600 has a slightly larger 5.5 liter V12 (5513cc as compared to the V8’s 5461cc), but as it is twin-turbocharged, it makes 517hp at 5,000rpm and an amazing 830Nm of torque from as low as 1,900rpm to 3,500rpm. The V12 twin turbo only has a 5-speed auto instead of the 7-speed in the V8. 0-100km/h acceleration for the V12 is 4.6 seconds, and its top speed is an electronically limited 250km/h as well. The monster coupe is heavy, with its kerbed weight including 75kg for driver and luggage standing at a massive 1995kg for the V8 and 2185kg for the V12. Unsurprising considering its size – it’s slightly over 5 meters long. The Mercedes Benz CL class has a fuel tank capacity of 90 liters, which would cost you RM172.80 to refill according to the current RM1.92 for RON97 fuel rates. Expect Bra bus to do a whacked out monster-engine super coupe version of the CL-class soon, as it did with the E-class and the CLS-class. Mercedes Benz also has a CL55 AMG with a 5.5 liter 493hp supercharged V8 up its sleeves, as well as a CL65 AMG with a 6.0 liter twin-turbo V12 making 604hp.

A brand new model of Mercedes-Benz is released in 2008 as CLC entry-level coupe. Mercedes-Benz has announced details of its CLC entry-level coupe.. Developed from the former C-Class sports coupe – over 1,100 components are said to have been changed or updated – it is compact yet powerful, higher-tech yet more economical than its predecessor. The German automaker says the updated engines (especially the four-cylinder 1.8-liter that pushes the C200 Compressor and now delivers 184 bhp) and a direct-steer system will provide a much sportier behavior. Sales have started from May 2008. The CLC will be produced in Brazil, in the Juiz de Fora plant which Mercedes-Benz built to produce the A-Class. At the end of its production, this facility almost closed its doors before the company managed to find out what to do with it. The solution was the production of the C-Class Sport Coupe, what in part explains why the company has decided to keep the previous platform structure for the CLC. The Mercedes Benz CLC-Class model range lies within the price bracket of £19,920 – £27,240. The CLC range includes two diesel-engines models. Both are 2148 cc, but differ in power and torque outputs.

The CLC 200 CDI engine delivers 122 bhp and 270 Nm, and the CLC 220 CDI, 150 bhp and 340 Nm. The car with the more powerful engine is naturally the quicker of the two, but both consume the same amount of juice: a theoretical 42.8 mpg on the combined cycle. This is for 5-speed automatic models; the stick-box cars are both around 48 mpg. But two pedals or three, the CLC CDI clearly represents the greener side of sports car motoring.

The CLC 220 CDI delivers a really pleasant drive. With wide-ranging adjustment for the driver’s seat and steering wheel, it is possible to achieve the precise point of ergonomic balance, in which the driver feels in perfect pitch with the car. This synergy adds to the sense of its being a sports car, as does the new direct steering, which is worth an explanation. In terms of length, the CLC is shorter than a Mondeo but longer than a Focus, which, in turn, is longer that a Golf. It is very hard to position this car in the market place, and, given that it is slightly more a sports car than a coupe, I suppose the nearest equivalent is perhaps the Mazda RX-8. CLC Sport additives include an aluminium gear-shift, with a leather-trimmed gaiter, and stainless-steel inserts for the pedals. Standard features naturally include such things as ESP, ASR (Acceleration Skid Control), Artico man-made leather, dual-zone climate control, and park control. But the Merc touch is also evident in the smaller details, such as a first-aid kit, and monogrammed kick plates. Currently the CLC-Class has not been tested and therefore it is going to be rated by NCAP. Base models are above average to insure, whilst the higher specification cars are expensive (group 20 being the highest rating) to insure.

The official announcement came in and a new Mercedes Benz CLC (Sport Coupe) is ready to be released. It has the same C-class radiator grille we’re used with and the big Mercedes logo on it, new projection-beam headlamps, a new rear bumper and third brake LED light. Mercedes Benz unveiled his New CLC sports car of C-Class. The new Mercedes CLC at the Berlin Fashion Week. The Mercedes CLC 200 CDI is powered by a 2.0 liter engine developing 122 hp and 270 Nm of torque. The top speed of the Mercedes CLC 200 CDI is 206 km/h with a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 11.3 seconds. The Mercedes CLC 220 CDI develops 150 hp and 340 Nm of torque with the 0-100km/h acceleration time dropping to 9.7 seconds and the top speed going up to 224 km/h.

A wide range of wheels and tyres is available ex factory for the new Sports Coupe. Customers have a choice of ten different wheel types featuring different tyre sizes – from the 16-inch 5-spoke light-alloy wheel to the 18-inch AMG wheel. The six-cylinder Mercedes CLC 230 and Mercedes CLC 350 models already come with standard-fit 16-inch and 17-inch light-alloy wheels respectively. The dynamic, powerful appearance of the Mercedes CLC with sports package is accentuated by the standard-fit 18-inch 5-twin-spoke light-alloy wheels and 225/40 R 18 (front) and 245/35 R 18 (rear) tyres. Optional extras available for this model variant include multi-spoke light-alloy wheels (18 inch) and AMG light-alloy wheels (18 inch). The optional PARKTRONIC parking aid is just one of the many systems and details that have been newly developed or enhanced for the Sports Coupe. The ultrasonic sensors are now set flush in the front and rear bumpers; these sensors identify obstacles that appear at a distance of 100 (front) or 80 centimeters (rear) in front of or behind the Mercedes CLC. The system response during straight-line reversing has been reprogrammed: in this situation, the visual and acoustic warning for the driver is suppressed if the front end of the Sports Coupe passes a stationary obstacle. This means in practice that if the Mercedes CLC, for instance, is backed out of the garage, a warning is no longer given if the ultrasonic sensors have identified the garage walls or the door frame.

The driver can concentrate fully on reversing. The system then only responds if the driver turns the steering wheel and an obstacle appears in the area covered by PARKTRONIC. Information, communication, navigation, entertainment – four components that are currently just as important when driving as, say, agile handling, a high level of comfort or powerful engines. Nobody wants to be without news, telephone, navigation or music in the car. That is why these topics feature at the top of our list of priorities when developing new Mercedes models, including the Mercedes CLC: the Sindelfingen engineers have developed a new generation of units for the Sports Coupe that bring luxury-class cutting-edge technology to the two-door model.

Mercedes Benz has unveiled another C-Class car at 28 January 2008 its name is CLC-Class. This new Mercedes CLC is sportsman coupe/hatchback, which is a replacement to the vehicle formerly known as the C-Class coupe. The Mercedes CLC is not like BMW, but the New Mercedes CLC is more attractive than BMW. It still lacks the finely honed sporting design of the BMW, but there’s now a more athletic look with a front end that draws heavily on the current saloon.

The New Mercedes CLC sportsman coupe/hatchback is new version of the old sportsman coupe. This is turn based upon the previous saloon. This sporting car includes sole engineering science innovations and equipment extras such as 18-inch light-alloy wheels, headlamps with black inner surrounds; wide base tyres and sports suspension with lowered body, leather sports steering wheel and dark brushed aluminum trim elements. Especial feature which the New Mercedes CLC inherits from its racing car counterparts is the instrument cluster with red needles for the speedometer and rev counter. Once the locomotive is switched on, these needles spin once around the dial before returning to their start positions.

The measure stipulation for the sports package includes a new direct-steer system, which further enhances the agile driving experience of the Mercedes CLC while adding an important boost to safety. Tonight new have is based on the speed-sensitive power steering and also offers a variable rack ratio which changes as a function of the steering angle so that the driver only has to turn the wheel slightly when cornering, the sports coupe therefore responds far more spontaneously to steering commands and offers even sportier handling. As a result, the direct-steer system of rules besides improves handling safety in critical situations – for instance when talking sudden evasive action – as the field tests conducted by the Mercedes engineers demonstrate. It is styled to seem wish the company’s new C-Class sedan and wagon, despite still being based on the previous-generation model. About 1,100 components lowered either especially made for the CLC or refined from the previous model. The new CLC was granted a send steering system for increased handling and the coupe will also feature a new infotainment system.

The introductory CLC180 Compressor and CLC200 Compressor are powered by four-cylinder engines. It is bear 143 HP and 184 horsepower, respectively. CLC230 is more powerful than the CLC204.
The Newest Mercedes Benz CLC with better sound system. The Mercedes Benz unveiled his C-Class CLC car in 28th January 2008. The car radio with integrated CD player (MP3-compatible) features an FM/ MW, SW and LW tuner with automatic station search, RDS function (with FM reception), direct frequency selection via the keypad in the centre console and a five-inch color display.
This infotainment system combines car radio, telephone exchange and Europe-wide DVD navigation system in a single unit. Navigation instructions – including a junction zoom function — are indicated using arrows on a color display (five inch). The integrated DVD drive can be used for navigation or audio data. If the (optional) six-disc DVD changer is fitted, Audio 50 APS also comes as standard with the enhanced LINGUATRONIC voice-operated control system with whole-word recognition capability.

The multimedia system includes a Europe-wide navigation system with the associated data stored on a hard disc (40 gigabytes). This provides lightning-fast access to navigation data and enables route information to be processed even faster. The roadmap is shown on a high-resolution 6.5-inch color display. COMAND APS also includes a music library with capacity for four gigabytes of music. Here the driver can store around 1000 tracks in MP3 format from CD, DVD or memory card. The system automatically identifies the tracks and performers and shows the information on the color display. Above the color display the unit has a slot for SD memory cards that can also be used as music storage media. As an option, COMAND APS is available from Mercedes-Benz with a six-disc DVD changer and voice-operated control system.

For the first time an iPod, USB stick or other external audio devices can be connected up to the infotainment system in the Mercedes CLC courtesy of a newly developed universal interface; this interface is available ex factory for all infotainment systems in the new Mercedes CLC. Customers then simply need to obtain a compatible cable that is available from the Mercedes accessories range.

The voice-operated control system is part of the standard specification for the Mercedes CLC if Mercedes customers specify the Audio 50 APS with six-disc DVD changer, or the COMAND APS multimedia unit. LINGUATRONIC conveniently operates the telephone, audio and navigation system using its whole-word recognition capability. So the driver no longer has to painstakingly spell everything out but can simply say each particular word when entering a destination, selecting a radio station or calling up a name included in the phone book.

The sound output is digitized during the brief dialogue, converted into a frequency spectrum and finally analyzed. Within a matter of milliseconds the computer extracts various features from the voice input and identifies the phonemes – the distinct sound units that make up speech. The software instantly verifies each sound, combines the various phonemes, compares them against the contents of a stored phoneme dictionary and also calculates the acoustic probability of the word. Consequently, the system can recognize even minute differences in pronunciation; for instance, it can differentiate between the words “street” and “straight”. The system includes the phonemes for six different languages.

The Mercedes Benz was opened many version of car: Mercedes-Benz, Inside Line, C-Class etc. It’s not completely defunct in that its architecture has been carried over for the new car, meaning the CLC does not share underpinnings with the new-generation C-Class. At first glance, it’s clear that Mercedes is trying to leave the past behind, looks-wise. Sure, the coupe profile is carried over, but the sharp-looking face of the new C-Class finds its way onto the CLC’s front end.

The Mercedes Sports Coup has managed to do both: more than two thirds of buyers of the predecessor to the CLC were very satisfied with their car and remained loyal to the brand.

Mercedes-Benz has opened a stand-alone model series in the guise of the new CLC, the compelling entry-level model in the Mercedes-Benz coup family.

The Sports Coup’s design, technology and equipment meet the discerning requirements of young drivers looking for an athletic car that gives an involving drive, while at the same time delivering the hallmark Mercedes quality standards in terms of safety, comfort, environmental compatibility and functionality.

The interior of the new Mercedes-Benz CLC is akin to a contemporary tailor-made suit – custom-fit and comfortable.

I first thought it was ugly but the more I look at it, the more I like it than another old Mercedes Benz. The rear end looks significantly better than the old model. Furthermore, the design is also more appealing than the ugly B-class and R-class. We’re not sure U S consumers would take the bait a second time anyway. But there reportedly were other designs being considered. A host of new and/or revised features will be included with the car, which retains the same basic platform of the original Sports Coupe.

One typical feature of the contemporary Mercedes design idiom is the arrow shape of the front end – a styling touch with a symbolic character that emphasizes typical attributes such as forward motion and agility. These lines, which interact harmoniously with the large, smooth surfaces, define the contemporary Mercedes design style.

The side view of the CLC is unmistakable with its muscular lines.

The message is “Ready for action” – all you have to do is get in, start the engine and press the accelerator to actively experience the verve of the Mercedes Sports Coup.

Spoiler, tail lights and bumper divide up the CLC rear end, emphasizing its width and adding decisively to the cars outstanding expressiveness.

The sports package brings out the very best in the CLC. Even with just its standard equipment, the new CLC offers a wealth of attractive and practical features.

In it, you’ll find design inspiration for the model complete with numerous sketches of the CLC during early development; technical data for each of the CLC’s six engine variants; a comprehensive listing of the coupe’s technological wizardry; and much, much more.

Mercedes-Benz Launches New CLC Sports Coupe Integrated Marketing Campaign. It basically looks like the first-generation model with the nose of the new C-Class grafted on. This primarily includes exclusive driving events that give customers the chance to enjoy at first hand the many exciting features of the CLC, as well as an interactive online campaign and all kinds of marketing activities on the part of the dealerships. In addition, specially branded pillows and eyeshades in airplanes will invite passengers to experience the car of their dreams, while the door hanger in selected hotels encourages guests “not only to dream of the new sports coupe but also to fulfill their fantasy.

CDN spoke to Juergen Bollmann, Senior Manager and Program Manager for the new CLC he was also responsible for the design of the A-Class, B-Class and C-Class sedan that walked us around the car and pointed out the various design changes.

The direct-steer system also improves handling safety in critical situations – for instance when taking sudden evasive action – as the field tests conducted by the Mercedes engineers demonstrate.

The dominant upper edge of the wings underscores the wedge shape of the downward-slanting shoulder line, which combines at the rear with the upper edge of the tail lights. To learn more about the Mercedes-Benz CLC Sports Coupe integrated marketing campaign, you can find the full details in the official press release of Mercedes Benz. The six-speed manual transmission comes as standard with all engine variants.

They should keep it in Europe – the reason why it doesn’t sell well here is because American’s don’t want to associate the Mercedes Benz brand with “dinky little hatchbacks”.

The standard specification for the sports package includes a new direct-steer system, which further enhances the agile driving experience of the CLC while adding an important boost to safety.

After an exceptionally hectic weekend – one that involved a quick flight to the frigid Midwest, followed by a round of inclement weather, and followed by our return flight then being cancelled – we have finally arrived back in the office, ready to bring you your daily dose of Mercedes-flavored goodness.

A choice of seat covers in black, alpaca grey and a particularly stylish combination of black and red are available to give the interior its individual colour scheme.

No word on which variants if any will be making it to the U S market, but it’s a safe bet that the smaller petrol and diesel models won’t be among the first shipments if they come at all.

The entertainment, communications and nave systems can all be operated by voice command, too.

The four-link independent front suspension and multilink independent rear suspension get new tuning to give better feel, but remember, it’s still the old C-class under the skin, so don’t expect any miracles.

Mercedes Benz has compact body dimensions and the muscular lines emphasize the sporty appearance of the new CLC. It’s not completely defunct in that its architecture has been carried over for the new car, meaning the CLC does not share underpinnings with the new-generation of C-Class. The designers of Mercedes Benz have completely redesigned the front and rear so that the Sports Coup embodies the contemporary Mercedes design idiom with its distinctive coupe radiator grille featuring a large Mercedes star in the centre. Mercedes Benz open wrap his another car in this year. Basically, Mercedes designers have re-styled the coupes front and rear ends so that it resembles it’s newly launched C-class. Designers tried to give a new shape in C-Class cars and finally they are successfully finished. Thanks to its sophisticated design, high-quality appointments and equipment, and enhanced technology, the new Mercedes-Benz CLC offers even more conquest potential than its predecessor.

The CLC is a vehicle that appeals to the emotions, particularly to young people’s desire to own a car that has a great performance and is a lot of fun to drive.

Another special feature which the CLC inherits from its racing car counterparts is the instrument cluster with red needles for the rev counter and speedometer. The standard specification for the sports package includes a new direct-steer system, which further enhances the agile driving experience of the CLC while adding an important boost to safety.

The new Mercedes Benz CLC is really so cute Nissan GT-R Wins CoTY Japan. On the other hand, Mazda is quite possibly the ugliest thing I have ever laid eyes on. The S-Class, the luxury CL-Class Coupe and the C-Class provided the stylistic models.

According to Mercedes, the new CLC will appeal to younger drivers that are after a stylish modern vehicle which is equipped with the latest technology.

The new model draws heavily from its bigger CL-Class Coupe and C-Class brothers.

We can see more about Mercedes Benz CLC and get the latest news, reviews other brands in its Group from the Official Mercedes-Benz Fan Blog.

Mercedes are continuing to broaden their brands appeal with the release of the new Mercedes-Benz CLC coupe.

Three units are available, offering a superb combination of color display, twin tuner, speed-sensitive volume control and Bluetooth mobile phone interface.

Mercedes -Benz Cars with 4% Sales increased in year for the new Mercedes CLC sports coupe car. Finally, we can say it that, the new Mercedes Benz is a best car in recent world than other cars.

Mercedes-Benz has put together the sports package for drivers looking for sporting flair. It includes exclusive engineering innovations and equipment extras such as 18-inch light-alloy wheels, wide-base tyres, headlamps with black inner surrounds, sports suspension with lowered body, leather sports steering wheel and dark brushed aluminum trim elements. Another special feature which the Mercedes CLC inherits from its racing car counterparts is the instrument cluster with red needles for the speedometer and rev counter. Once the engine is switched on, these needles spin once around the dial before returning to their start positions. The standard specification for the sports package includes a new direct-steer system, which further enhances the agile driving experience of the Mercedes CLC while adding an important boost to safety. As a result, the direct-steer system also improves handling safety in critical situations – for instance when taking sudden evasive action as the field tests conducted by the Mercedes engineers demonstrate.

The Sports Coupe’s design, technology and equipment meet the discerning requirements of young drivers looking for an athletic car that gives an involving drive, while at the same time delivering the hallmark Mercedes quality standards in terms of safety, comfort, environmental compatibility and functionality. Compared with the previous Sports Coupe, the Mercedes engineers have newly developed or enhanced over 1100 components. Engineering highlights of the MERCEDES CLC include a new direct-steer system for even more agile cornering, state-of-the-art infotainment systems featuring a color display, Europe-wide DVD or hard-disc navigation and media interface, as well as an updated four-cylinder engine that now develops 135 kW/184 hp. Fuel consumption has been reduced by up to 10.8 percent compared with the outgoing model.

The Mercedes designers have completely redesigned the front and rear so that the Sports Coupe embodies the contemporary Mercedes design idiom with its distinctive coupe radiator grille featuring a large Mercedes star in the centre, and the new projection-beam headlamps. The S-Class, the luxury CL-Class Coupe and the C-Class provided the stylistic models. The redesigned large tailgate conceals a variable boot with up to 1100 liters of luggage capacity. The new tail lights, the long row of LEDs which make up the third brake light unit and the rear bumper subdivide the rear and emphasize its width.
